Complete a QLess Access Request

Overview

This article details the steps to complete a QLess access request.

Steps

  1. Go to https://eforms.nvcc.edu/FormsLibrary/Dashboard.aspx

  2. Enter your NVCC username (your local username, not your NVCC email address) and password.

  3. Click the Log in button.

  1. The Forms Library dashboard displays. Select the eForms pane to view the forms.

  1. Click the IT Accounts Request link.

  1. The form displays. Select Change an Employee IT Account from the Reason drop-down.

  1. Select an Effective Date. Please note that it must at least be tomorrow’s date or later.

  2. Your information should auto-populate but please go over this carefully and make any necessary changes. Select your Administrative Unit from the drop-down.

  3. Under Application Type, you will notice that QLess is not in the drop-down. Select Other from the Application Type drop-down.

  4. Select Unlisted (Use NOTES Below) from the Application Name drop-down.

  5. Select Add Access from the Action drop-down.

  6. Click the Add to Cart button.

  1. Please request QLess access in the Notes field. You will need to list the Campus you are requesting access to, the Department (or Queue), and what roles you would like to have assigned.

For example: Request QLess Access for Annandale Campus, Advising Department, and Ticket Tacker (TT) Host (H) Roles assigned

Roles that can be assigned can be found below. Please use the principle of least privilege (PoLP) here. Not everyone will need the same level of access.

  • TT= Ticket Taker (can mark summoned customers as arrived)

  • H = Host (can perform operations on behalf of a user (adding them to a queue, removing them from a queue, pushing back)

  • RA = Resource Admin (can summon customer from a queue)

  • QA = Queue Admin (can activate and deactivate queues)

  • RV = Report Viewer (can view reports)

  1. Carefully review your request information and then click the Next button.

  1. The Success confirmation dialog displays. The form will be sent to your supervisor for approval. Click the Cancel button to exit or the Submit New Request button to submit another request.
