Overview
This article details the steps to download and install Read&Write software.
Request Access to Read&Write Software

Open your web browser and go to the Accommodations and Accessibility Services website: https://www.nvcc.edu/student-resources/accessibility/index.html

Click Assistive Technology on the left-hand menu.

Under Resources For Students, click the + icon next to Note Taking Services.

Enter your VCCS email address if you are a student (i.e., userid@email.vccs.edu) or your NVCC email address if you are a faculty member (i.e., userid@nvcc.edu) in the Email Address field and then click the Submit button.
Once you submit your email address to the form, you will immediately have access to a 30-day trial of the software. Premium access to the software will be granted before the trial period ends.
Install Read&Write Software

Open your web browser and go to the Read&Write website: https://www.texthelp.com/products/read-and-write-education/

Click the Try Read&Write button.

Click the Start your trial today button.

Enter your trial details and then click the Start your Free Trial button.

Select your platform and then follow the prompts to install it.
Note: Installation will require administrative privileges. Please contact the Campus IT of your location if you have an NVCC-issued device to assist with installation.

After installation, if you are a student click the Sign in With Google button and sign in with your VCCS email address (i.e., userid@email.vccs.edu). If you are a faculty member, click the Sign in with Microsoft and sign in with your NVCC email address (i.e., userid@nvcc.edu).
