Access Microsoft Copilot with Your myNOVA (VCCS) Student Account

Overview

This article details the steps to access Microsoft Copilot with your myNOVA (VCCS) student account. Copilot is a Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tool developed by Microsoft. This software is provided for free if you are a NOVA student actively enrolled in courses and have made payment.

Steps

  1. Open your web browser and go to the Office homepage.

  2. Click the Sign in button.

  1. Enter your myNOVA (VCCS) email address and then click the Next button.

  1. In your organization’s sign in page, enter your myNOVA (VCCS) username and then click the GO button.

  1. Enter your myNOVA (VCCS) password and then click the GO button.

  1. Authenticate using your preferred method of multi-factor authentication (MFA).

  1. Click the Sign in button in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app page.

  1. Click the Let’s go button to get initially get started.

  1. Click the Next button when prompted and review the Welcome tour. Alternatively, click the X icon at the top-right to bypass the Welcome tour.

  1. Select Apps in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the Next button when prompted and review the Apps tour. Alternatively, click the X icon at the top-right to bypass the Apps tour.

  1. Click the Copilot tile under Apps to access Microsoft Copilot.
