Overview

This article details the steps to check if GlobalProtect Virtual Private Network (VPN) is installed on your NVCC-issued Windows or Mac device. VPN allows you to create a secure connection to NOVA's network over the Internet. A VPN connection is required to access certain college resources, such as file shares or AIS. All NVCC employees with NVCC-issued equipment have access to VPN. To access VPN, you must use the GlobalProtect VPN client which is pre-installed on all NVCC-issued equipment. You can check to see if GlobalProtect is installed on your NVCC-issued device by following these directions. Once you attempt to connect via GlobalProtect, you will be prompted for your NVCC network credentials and your Microsoft multi-factor authentication (MFA) verification.
