Overview

This article details the steps to upload your NOVACard photo.

Upload Your NOVACard Photo

1. Log into the NOVACard Mobile website with your myNOVA (VCCS) username and password.

2. Select UPLOAD YOUR PHOTO.

3. Select an ID Type from the drop down to upload your Government ID. Click the UPLOAD GOVERNMENT-ISSUED ID button to proceed.

4. Click the Choose File button to select the appropriate photo and then click the Upload Photo button to proceed.

Photo Requirements:

• White Background - Photo must be in color with a white or pale background

• Entire Head and Shoulders - Photo must include your entire head and shoulders. We may be able to crop large photos if needed.

• Face the Camera - Head and shoulders should directly face the camera. No profile or angle shots. Eyes must be open and looking at the camera.

• No shadows - Make sure your photo is taken in a well-lit area with no shadows. Make sure that your entire face can be seen. Include headdress only if worn daily for religious purposes and they do not obscure or cast shadows on the eyes or face. No hats, bandanas, sunglasses, etc.

• Recent photo - Photo must be taken within the last six months.

• No camera filters - Do not use any camera filters.

5. Make edits to the photo and crop image if needed. Click the Save Photo button to proceed.

6. Review the photo one more time and then click the Confirm button to submit. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful upload.

Note: Please wait for an email confirming that your photo has been approved before visiting a NOVACard Office.
