Overview
This article details the steps to forward an email as an attachment in Outlook Desktop App or Outlook Web App. 
Outlook Desktop App
	- 
	
Type Outlook in the Windows search bar and then select Outlook to launch the Outlook Desktop App.
	 

	- 
	
Click once on the email you want to forward as an attachment (do not open it).
	 
	- 
	
Click the three-dot 
 icon in the top right corner of the email and then select Other reply actions > Forward as attachment.
	 

	- 
	
A new email window displays with the selected email attached in .eml format. Enter the recipient’s email address in the To field and compose the email subject and message.
	 
	- 
	
Click the Send button to forward the attached email.
	 

Outlook Web App
	- 
	
Open your web browser and then go to the Outlook Web App: https://outlook.office.com/mail/
	 
	- 
	
Click once on the email you want to forward as an attachment (do not open it).
	 
	- 
	
Click the three-dot 
 icon in the top right corner of the email and then select Other reply actions > Forward as attachment.

A new email window displays with the selected email attached in .eml format. Enter the recipient’s email address in the To field and compose the email subject and message.

Click the Send button to forward the attached email.
	 

Troubleshooting
	- 
	
Missing “Forward as attachment” Option? Update Outlook or use the manual download method.
	 
	- 
	
Email Not Sending? Check your network, email settings, and recipient’s email for errors.
	 
	- 
	
Attachment Not Opening? Ensure the recipient’s email client supports .eml files or advise them to use Outlook.
