Steps
The Virginia Community College System (VCCS) has mandated that all users must verify their identity for any account administrative requests (myNOVA [VCCS], NVCC LAN, and MFA). This is in accordance with the state’s security mandates.
When contacting the IT Help Desk regarding account issues, please be prepared with a photo ID. This list includes but is not limited to one of the following:
Federal Government-Issued IDs

U.S. Access Card

U.S. Passport

U.S. Passport Card
State Government-Issued IDs

Driver’s License

Non-Driver Photo ID Card

State-Issued ID Card
NOVA IDs
The IT Help Desk will send you a link to a Zoom session where a technician will first confirm your identity using this photo ID before providing you with technical assistance.
