What is it?
The College is transitioning from Cisco phones to Microsoft Teams Voice. Microsoft Teams Voice will be offered to full-time Faculty and Staff who currently have Cisco phone services. Employees will keep their current phone numbers. Most users will switch from using a physical desk phone to a software-based phone referred to as a softphone using the Microsoft Teams app which is already installed on college-issued devices. If your supervisor determines a physical desk phone is required for your job function, there will be options available.
Who is Eligible to Use It?
Full-time Faculty and Staff who currently have Cisco phone services are eligible to use this service. Phone services will be provisioned based on the migration status of your campus or department. Please visit the Microsoft Teams Voice NOVAnet page for more information.
Where Can I Get It?
Faculty and Staff must submit the Request for Voice Services Form (105-423A) for new Voice Services or modifications to existing Voice Services. Faculty and Staff must submit the Report Voice Services Issues Form (105-423B) to report operational issues with their current Cisco phone or Microsoft Teams Voice service.
