Upload Your NOVACard Photo

Overview

This article details the steps to upload your NOVACard photo.

Steps

  1. Open your web browser and go to www.nvcc.edu/novacard.

  2. Select the free account link under Get Your NOVACard.

  1. Scroll down and select the Sign up now! link.

Note: If you already have an account with GET, login and skip to Step 7.

  1. Enter your information and then click the Register button.

  1. Check your VCCS email for your Registration Confirmation and then select the User Confirmation link.

  1. Enter email address and password and then click the Login button.

  1. Select the Upload ID Photo link.

  1. Under Upload ID Photo click the Choose File button.

  2. Select the appropriate picture and then click the Upload button.

Note: Please wait for an email confirming that your photo has been approved before visiting a NOVACard Office.

Photo Requirements:

  • White Background - Photo must be in color with a white or pale background

  • Entire Head and Shoulders - Photo must include your entire head and should. We may be able to crop large photos if needed.

  • Face the Camera - Head and shoulders should directly face the camera. No profile or angle shots. Eyes must be open and looking at the camera.

  • No shadows - Make sure your photo is taken in a well-lit area with no shadows. Make sure that your entire face can be seen. Include headdress only if worn daily for religious purposes and they do not obscure or cast shadows on the eyes or face. No hats, bandanas, sunglasses, etc.

  • Recent photo - Photo must be taken within the last six months.

  • No camera filters - Do not use any camera filters.

Click Choose File button and click Upload button
